Tricks can be a fun way to perk up a dogs interest in learning something new. This class will focus on teaching your dog fun tricks and can help create a closer bond with your furry friend.
You can earn AKC titles or participate just for fun.
What we will strive for:
-Tricks all start with basics... *Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Stand
-Dogs will learn what comes next after the basics as part of a routine for learning tricks.
-A variety of new commands and trick behaviors will be presented that fulfill the requirements for the AKC Novice Trick Dog Title.
-The fourth week will be testing for Novice and Intermediate Trick Titles.
If you are testing for Intermediate Trick Title without taking the class, you must bring your previous Novice test sheet as previous tricks cannot be repeated.

Novice Rally is appropriate for dogs and handlers who can perform basic obedience skills, e.g. sit, stay, and walk on a leash. You will learn 42 novice level movements such as call fronts, turns, pace changes, spirals, and serpentines as well as moving and stationary exercises. These exercises are performed with your dog on leash. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Novice signs on the AKC website before class. The most important lessons you will learn are positive reinforcement and having fun with your best friend.
